I have to catch up on preparations for my two month plus absence from Reno, so tonight I made one final pit stop at the site where I usually go online. I now have a temporary mailbox address (for at least three months) and my phone is set to be disconnected on Monday (when I actually leave for the coast). Posting will resume early next week and I have decided to share happenings from that area. Reno is closely tied to the northern California area so dispatches from there might be of interest to people who check in here once in awhile.
I’ll be sad to miss the upcoming “New Media” summit. (I think it has another name now, with “Interactive” in the title.) I just saw the line up of speakers yesterday and this event (at UNR in their Reynolds School of Journalism) will be a great introduction to all these new tools we now have available. UPDATE: spent Tuesday packing and cleaning place. Basicly caught up (with stuff now ready to store!) Will likely have to leave Saturday morning now, due to days of heavy snow storms being predicted.
