Alfred Walking Bull, Byllie’s campaign manager, offers this latest call for support (as well as a campaign status report):

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As Byllie’s campaign manager, I’d like to take a moment to update you on the progress of her campaign for a new direction.

First, I’m inviting you to meet with Byllie Andrews at the home of Anne Vohl. The event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. next Wednesday, May 5 at 2470 Plumas Street in Reno.

Second, I’d like to explain why you should come to this event.

This is an opportunity to share your ideas, concerns and hopes for Nevada in time for the 2011 legislative session and to show your involvement on this grassroots level. Byllie is the hardest-working candidate in this campaign season; she’s maintained her reputation as a strong, consistent and concerned Democrat by attending community functions, knocking on doors and making phone calls. That being said, she is poised to win the June 8th Primary. Of all the thousands of doors that we’ve all knocked on and the hundreds of calls we’ve all made, this experience is ensuring our next Assemblywoman is in touch with the voters of the district.

If you’re unable to make this event, I ask you, to consider your investment in Byllie’s campaign as voter, as a volunteer or as a donor. Reaching every voter in District 27 takes time and it takes money. Whether it’s printing and sending mail pieces to the voters or it’s ordering yard signs to distribute to supporters, it all adds up. Your donation of $25, $50, $100 or more can help us to make this victory a strong one for all Democrats in Assembly District 27. By electing a candidate like Byllie who is connected to the community and will work tirelessly for them in the 2011 legislative session.

In the 39 days remaining until the June 8th Primary, there will be few opportunities left to invest your time and efforts into Byllie’s campaign, so I encourage you to come to Anne Vohl’s home on Wednesday to share what, “a new direction” means to you. As Byllie’s well-aware, in order to be an effective Assemblywoman, she’s going to need to work with a variety of people and get to know the issues that will be important to Nevada, so this is when your voice can count the most.

I thank you all for supporting Byllie Andrews over the last months leading into this election, it is going to be a great June 8th Primary and I hope you’ll consider attending this next event or showing your support with a donation.
