Hi Tony. I think the number of coffee houses here that display art from local artists (or any artists) is very small. Right now I am only aware of two places....where you're at, Java Jungle, and that new place The Hub.

Bibos on Mt Rose doesn't have any. (Just photos.) There are some other places further away from midtown and downtown that I haven't checked yet. (Starbucks just has commercial, poster like stuff hanging up.)

Thanks, Gail. I hope I'm not deluded, lol! I think Rory has a great chance, even a likely winner now.

I think my third paragraph is more like subtle or not so subtle lobbying of our legislators. And, is at this time a very unrealistic expectation.

BTW, there's a DOE funded group in Incline Village helping people start up clean energy related businesses, guiding and assisting those establishing new businesses. Rory Reid also wants to end the payroll tax altogether and instead (like in Colorado, under Democratic Governor Ritter) have tax credits for the businesses that hire on more people. With more people working, and that in itself leading to peripheral job creation, we should see more revenue come in that way. I hope.

I am a Peace PAL and thrilled to help in any way I can. The Tinney's have been a force to be reckoned with - and thank heavens - they're selflessly helping so many people who need a hand. I don't live in Reno, but the plight of those people hurts my heart and the Tinney's efforts are heartwarming, so I signed up to give every month. When you think about it, it's just a few bucks/month to help feed and clothe people who need the help desperately. I want to see everyone pitching in like this around the country.
